TF109 Livery Design Concept
The TF109 went into make-up towards the end of 2008 and a young Japanese designer was given the task of making sure Panasonic Toyota Racing’s latest star is as impressive to the eye as we hope it is on the track.
Atsushi Narita, a 25-year-old designer for Toyota Motor Corporation, created the concept and made the final touches so when the TF109 steps into the spotlight, it looks the part.
The organic, natural curves which make up the brushstrokes on the TF109 are striking, portraying an image of strength and unity. This bold splash of red emphasises a fighting spirit and a one-team mentality while the edgy, uneven fine detail of the brushstroke is inspired by Japanese brush pen drawings, which reflect confidence and human emotion.
